Kubota’s successful investment in Dunkirk: Testimonial
The Japanese group Kubota started its agricultural tractor assembly activity in Bierne in April 2015. Bierne is located near Dunkirk in the Community of Communes of the Hauts de Flandres. As a reminder, this was an investment of over 40 million euros and 140 jobs by 2017. Intended for the assembly of a new range of high-powered tractors (130 to 170 HP) for the European, North American, Australian and Japanese markets, Kubota’s ambition is to become a reference tractor manufacturer in Europe in the field of large-scale crops such as wheat, corn and soybeans in order to offer a complete range of tractors for all types of agriculture in the short term. Kubota Europe, a subsidiary of Kubota Corporation, has had commercial activities in France (Argenteuil) since 1974.
