Support for transition and innovation
DUNKIRK: A SUSTAINABLE PORT
For many years now, the Grand Port Maritime of Dunkirk (GPMD) has been taking action to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and lower the impact that port activities have on the environment through:
- The production of a Management and Sustainable Development Plan for the port area (PA2D).
- Natural area and species protection management. The Grand Port Maritime of Dunkirk has integrated efforts for the protection and enhancement of habitats.
- The modal shift towards non-road transport is over 50% in the port area.
- Solar park facilities (40 MW currently planned).
- The reclassification of port sites as solar parks (40 MW currently planned).
- Support for the construction and running of the future heat recovery network in the industrial-port area.
- Cold ironing which allows container ships in port to shut down their auxiliary engines.
- LNG ship bunkering to complement the LNG tanker loading station. The container terminal has received the “LNG Ready Terminal” accreditation.

Patrick held several responsible positions during his 20 years in an international logistics group, gaining solid experience in the fields of transport and industrial supply chains in contact with French and foreign companies. He joined Dunkerque Promotion in 2004 and very soon became its Deputy Director and since 2018 its General manager. In addition to his leadership duties, Patrick will assist you in your project, even if he is specialised in logistics and particularly involved with the food industry and packaging sectors, he will be able to support your project whatever your field of activity.
Distinguishing features: Patrick is an amateur photographer, and his sense of observation and analytical skills mean you can be sure of building a long-term partnership. For Dunkerque Promotion, supporting you in the long term is a real priority.
If you have a project in the service sector, metallurgy or new technologies, Bruno is your man. The setups of the OVH datacentre, the Capdune customer relations centre of the Arvato Services Group (500 workstations) and, more recently, the assembly plant of the Japanese firm Kubota, all testify to his efficiency and the care he will bring to your project. He is also Quality Manager for the agency, which has been ISO 9001 certified since 1999, and can advise you at each stage of your development.
Distinguishing features: Marathon runner and high-tech enthusiast!
After her studies in project management, Fabienne spent three years in Barcelona where she began her career in communications. Self-taught, energetic, and committed to her work, she has handled the management of press trips and international events. Fabienne is also convinced that her home city of Dunkirk offers many advantages, which she stresses at every opportunity.
Distinguishing features: A lover of outdoor sports, Fabienne runs regularly and rides in the nearby countryside with her cycling club. With her warm and dynamic personality she will ably promote your business and make your firm known in the region and beyond.
When Cyrille came to Dunkirk for the first time, he little thought that he would settle here permanently ten years later. As he has had an extremely varied and versatile career, our team very soon nicknamed him “the Swiss army knife”! Having first joined the agency to develop and promote Dunkirk’s attractiveness to German companies, Cyrille is just as comfortable with entrepreneurs who speak English or Spanish. Passionate about the world of business, new technologies and sustainable development, he will give you invaluable advice about your project, whether it’s in the energy sector, green chemicals or any other line of business. And if you have a workshop or offices available that might be of interest to a company director, he will be happy to come and visit with a view to adding them to our property database.
Distinguishing features: Very busy but always available! He enjoys jogging along the Malo-les Bains seafront, but if the weather’s bad – which is extremely rare in Dunkirk – you’ll find him at the cinema.
Laurence worked in the Paris area for several years before returning to her home region. Her job covers a range of fields in management control and budgetary and financial monitoring: figures hold no secrets for her!
Distinguishing features: Laurence is the smiling face of the agency! Dynamic and always cheerful, she will arrange everything to ensure your visit to us is both useful and enjoyable.
